 Two Rivers Golf Club

                                                 Two Rivers Golf Club

On behalf of the Two Rivers Golf Club, let me welcome you to our fun golf organization.  I hope you will enjoy playing golf with our members—they are a fun bunch of people.  We have an annual schedule of tournaments at Sacramento-area golf courses, plus golf trips to the Monterey area and Reno.  We conclude each season with a scramble format golf event that includes lunch and an awards ceremony to recognize the top golfers for the year.

Our website has interesting photos of members ‘enjoying’ the golfing experience, information on upcoming club events, and tournaments.  The website has the latest TRGC newsletter, which also is sent out to the club members each month.  The newsletter has results of recent events, news of future tournaments, and other club information.

Most important, I hope you will participate in many of our club events.  We strive to have good tournaments that will be enjoyed by all the players, but you won’t be able to fully gain from your membership if you don’t get out and play!

The New President for 2019 for the Two Rivers Golf Club is John Valdez.

New 2019 club application Form

The application link below has the new 2019 Club Application Form on it. The membership page also has a link to the Application.

Bartley Cavaugh Scramble

Bartley has been moved to Sunday October 28. This is a scramble and there will be lunch afterwards with prizes. This is the last event for the Two Rivers Golf Club for this year. See you all next year. Remember to renew your membership for next year. Will be updating the link for renewal form as soon as I get the new form. Happy Holidays and good health to all.

Reno Trip

Reno Trip (Lou Mucci Tournament): Staying at Silver Legacy 1st day of play October 12th at Toiyabe. 2nd day of play is at Red Hawks Hills Course on the 13th. REMINDER: If you want three days of golf Sandy has arranged a outing at Grizzly Ranch on the 11th. See Event page for Forms

Club Championship Tourament.

Club Championship is coming up. Forms for both days are attached. REMINDER: we have a regular tournament on both days so if you do not want to compete in the Championship, you can still play one or both days. See Event page for Forms

Saddle Creek Mid week event.

Mike Morrow has arranged a outing at Saddle Creek for 20 people to play on July 25th. Will be a shotgun start. Cost is $67.00 plus $5 if you want in on the closest to the pin on par 3s. This includes a taco Buffet. See the events page for more information and click on the Saddle Creek button.

2018 Lou F. Mucci Memorial tournament

The Two Rivers Golf Clubs 2018 Lou F. Mucci Memorial tournament will be held at the Silver Legacy Resort and Casino in Reno from October 11th to 14th. We have two-night and three-night packages and two rounds of golf at Toyibre and Red Hawk Hills. If needed, there will be a package for two nights and one round of golf. Any special accommodations need to be discussed with me. I need to know how many are interested in attending the tournament. There will be a $100 deposit due by August 1st, 2018, and the final payment will be due by September 10th, 2018. Anyone who wants to go but needs assistance financially can discuss a payment plan with me. The price is a little higher this year. We are staying in a top resort, and I got the best deal that we could get. We will have a private reception for members and guests on Friday night starting at 6:30. I will give you the room number when I have it. The dinner will be on Saturday night starting at 7:00pm, and the main course will be prime rib – there will be other options to choose from as well. The spa at the Silver Legacy is currently being remodeled, but it will be ready by the time of the tournament. This is our biggest event of the year, and I would like everyone to attend. You can invite guests to play with us. For those who are interested, there will be an extra tournament on October 11th at Grizzly Ranch; Sandy Davis will be handling this tournament. If there are any questions or issues, please let me know. I would like to have the biggest turn out we’ve ever had for our 25th anniversary year! Thanks, and please respond

Wild Hawk

Wildhawk was a NCGA Seniors qualifier. Jim Svobodny and Brad Erway qualified.

                                  NCGA QUALIFIER NEWS

Alan Staton and Brad Erway played at Rancho Solano on May 10 as our representatives in the Associate Club Net Qualifier. 40 teams competed, with eight moving on to the finals at Poppy Hills. Alan and Brad came so close to making the cut: two teams tied for 1st at 12 under and eight teams tied for 3rd at 9 under. Alan and Brad were in this group for the final six slots. The card off went to the back nine, the last six holes and finally the last three holes, where our guys missed the cut. They played very well, but the golf gods didn’t shine down upon them.

The Micke Grove tournament was also our second NCGA qualifier (Team Event). The four-person team representing our club will be Dan Nelson, Brad Erway, Brett Svobodny and Ken Leufgen, pending individual availability.

We now have 100 members in our club, the first time in five years that we have reached this number.  As always, TRGC is looking to increase its member base, so don’t forget to invite your friends, co-workers, and golf buddies from other groups to play golf with our club.  Also, your can take $5 off your renewal fee for next year for every new member you bring to the club (limit of five new members per year).  Be sure to say hi and introduce yourself to the new members.

Also, please check the website, it is now up to date with forms, pairings, results..etc.
